Help centre
The questions the product itself raises most often, answered against what it actually does.
Getting started
- Paste a URL on the home page for a free public teaser, or add a project inside the app and run a full scan - there is no domain verification step
- Free workspaces crawl 8 pages per scan and keep 30 days of history; paid plans raise both
- A client viewer reads every project in the workspace, so for a client who should see only their own site, send a share link to their report instead
The crawler found fewer pages than expected
- Check robots.txt - every Disallow is obeyed, checked before we fetch, and there is no override to turn off
- A declared Crawl-delay is honoured in full, with no cap, and while it applies the crawl drops to one request at a time - so a site asking for several seconds between requests reaches far fewer pages inside the same time budget, and the scan says so
- If the Crawl-delay is so long that the scan could not fetch even its first page in the time it has, nothing is fetched at all and the scan explains that instead of crawling the site faster than it asked
- Raise crawl depth and the page budget in the scan wizard's Scope step
- Depth is capped at 6, and the page budget is capped by your plan, whichever is lower
- The browser pass renders a sampled subset of crawled pages, so a large site is crawled more widely than it is rendered - the scan says how many of each
- The crawl is breadth-first: it takes pages in the order it discovers them and stops at your budget. It does not rank routes, so a large site is covered widely and shallowly rather than by importance - raise the budget to reach deeper pages
My score changed but I did not deploy anything
- Third-party scripts and CDN configuration change independently of your code
- Fewer pages rendered on one run than another lowers confidence, and the scan reports that number
- Compare two scans to see exactly which findings appeared or resolved
Billing
- Plans are billed monthly or yearly; yearly saves 2 months
- Changing plan once a subscription is live is done in the Stripe billing portal, opened from Billing: the app will not start a second checkout and sends you there instead. What the change costs, and what is credited for the part of the period already paid for, is shown in the portal before you confirm it - nothing in WebAuditOS applies a plan change on a schedule of its own
- Quota overage pauses new scans rather than charging automatically
- Invoices appear in workspace billing settings once the first subscription payment is made, each with a PDF to download
- Billing settings has no VAT or tax ID field and checkout does not ask for one: Stripe/Link is the merchant of record and handles the tax on the sale. VAT included - the price is final
Getting help right now
You can write to [email protected]. There is no support desk behind it and no published response times: it is one person, and a target nobody is staffed to meet is worse than none. There is no in-app support channel either - this help centre is written material, not a way to reach a person.
- Scan behaving oddly? The scan id in the URL identifies the run, along with its target and its start and finish times. There is no per-request log, so an individual fetch cannot be looked up
- Score you disagree with? /methodology shows the weights and penalties the number is built from
- Something in the product broken? The status page measures the database, the engine and the queue live rather than asserting they are fine
